RESUMEN
La emergencia de nuevas pandemias ha estimulado el perfeccionamiento y la creación de nuevos sistemas de vigilancia. Se realizó una investigación de desarrollo de transferencia tecnológica en el Centro Provincial de Higiene y Epidemiología, de enero a septiembre del 2013, con el objetivo de automatizar los canales endémicos en Villa Clara. Se tomaron los datos del Registro de enfermedades de declaración obligatoria. Se utilizó el método de Bortman. La varicela se encontró en la zona de alerta durante las semanas 2-4, 26,29, 32-34 y 36, y en epidemia durante las semanas 37,38. La tuberculosis pulmonar estuvo en epidemia en las primeras siete semanas; el resto se mantuvo en alerta. Se procesaron grandes volúmenes de información de forma rápida y precisa, y se logró la vigilancia durante todo el año. Se observó la tendencia de estas enfermedades con vista al pronóstico y la toma de decisiones.
ABSTRACT
The emergence of new pandemics has encouraged the improvement and creation of new surveillance systems. A research of development of technology transfer was carried out in the Provincial Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, from January to September, 2013, which had as objective to automate endemic channels in Villa Clara. All data from the disease registers of obligatory declaration were analyzed. Bortman Method was used. Chicken pox was in alert zone during 2-4, 26, 29, 32-34 and 36 weeks, and in epidemic during 37, 38 weeks. Pulmonary tuberculosis was in epidemic during the first seven weeks; and the rest of the weeks it was in alert. Large volumes of information were processed in a rapid and precise way, and surveillance was attained during all year. It was observed the tendency of these diseases in order to prognosticate and make decisions.
