Violencia intrafamiliar y trastornos psicológicos en niños y adolescentes del área de salud de Versalles, Matanzas / Intrafamiliar violence and psychological disorders in children and teenagers of the health area of Versalles, Matanzas

RESUMEN

Se realizó una investigación descriptiva transversal, en el área de salud del Policlínico Universitario “Reynold García”, de Versalles, Matanzas, en el período comprendido entre el 1 de enero y el 31 de marzo del año 2013, con el objetivo de identificar tipos y manifestaciones de violencia intrafamiliar en los niños y adolescentes entre 5 y 16 años, que asistieron a las consultas de Psiquiatría Infanto-Juvenil y Psicología. A fin de obtener la información necesaria, a la madre le fue aplicada entrevista biosociopsicológica estructurada, mientras que a cada paciente se le realizó examen psiquiátrico y se le aplicó el cuestionario de exposición a la violencia intrafamiliar. Como resultado más notable, el estudio mostró el considerable predominio de pacientes víctimas de de violencia intrafamiliar.

ABSTRACT

We carried out cross-sectional descriptive research in the health area of the Teaching Polyclinic “Reynold García”, of Versalles, Matanzas, in the period January 1st-March 30, 2013, with the aim of identifying the kinds and manifestations of intrafamiliar violence in children and teenagers aged 5-16 years, who assisted the consultations of InfantoJuvenile Psychiatry and Psychology. To obtain the necessary information, a structured biosociopsychologic interview was applied to mothers, while a psychiatric exam was applied to every patient, and they applied the inquiry of intrafamiliar violence exposition. As the most important result, the research showed the considerable predominance of patients who are victims of intrafamiliar violence.
