Sistemas cerâmicos e suas possibilidades / Ceramic systems and their possibilities

RESUMO

As cerâmicas odontológicas têm se desenvolvido rapidamente nos últimos anos, melhorado suas propriedades e características físicas, para bem atender à demanda de materiais mais estéticos e resistentes. O objetivo deste artigo é descrever uma revisão bibliográfica dos diversos sistemas cerâmicos atuais sem metal, enfatizando o sistema IPS E. max (Ivoclar Vivadent) e demonstrando, por meio de um caso clínico, a versatilidade do sistema.

ABSTRACT

Dental ceramics have been developing fastly in recent years, improving their physical properties in order to satisfy the demand for the development of more esthetic, resistant materials. The objective of this review was to describe a number of current all-ceramic systems, highlighting the IPS E.max system (Ivoclar Vivadent) and demonstrating the versatility of the system with a clinical case.
