RESUMO
O estudo objetiva caracterizar as práticas de comunicação de diagnóstico de soropositividade HIV e Aids por profissionais da saúde para pré-adolescentes, adolescentes e adultos, pessoas da rede social de apoio, além de identificar dificuldades enfrentadas na comunicação do diagnóstico. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva de cunho qualitativo. Participaram da pesquisa 33 profissionais da saúde que atendiam pacientes vivendo com HIV/Aids nos locais onde a pesquisa foi realizada. O estudo mostra que embora os profissionais tenham se qualificado para trabalhar com pessoas vivendo com HIV/Aids, a maior parte refere que foi por meio da experiência profissional e de vida, de cursos extracurriculares e da informalidade que aprenderam sobre a comunicação do diagnóstico de HIV/Aids, mas não estão satisfeitos com ela. Revela-se fundamental aos profissionais buscarem por estratégias que permitam que o processo de comunicação do diagnóstico seja facilitado.
ABSTRACT
The study aims to characterize the communication practices of diagnosis of HIV seropositivity and Aids by health professionals for pre-teens, adolescents and adults, their families and/or people from the social support network, and identify difficulties in communicating the diagnosis and stress professionals levels. This is a descriptive quantitative and qualitative in nature. Participated in the survey were 33 health professionals who worked directly in the care of patients living with HIV/Aids where the research was conducted. The study shows that even the professionals were qualified to work with people living with HIV/Aids, most states that has been through the experience and professional life, extracurricular courses and informal communication have learned about HIV diagnosis Aids, but admit to not being satisfied with it. It is important that professionals look for strategies that allow the process of communicating the diagnosis to be facilitated.
