ABSTRACT
Examines the status of women and children in Antigua and Barbuda. Overviews the demography, political, social, and economic situation. Examines the situation of children by looking at infant and child mortality; nutrition; education; and children in difficulty. In examining the situation of women, it looks at health, reproduction, education, economic situation, and legal status. Considers the underlying causes such as the environment, food production, education, and medical care. Looks at the structural causes and makes recommendations relating to health, finally life and nutrition education the legal status of women, and environmental control. (AU)
