ABSTRACT
This paper encompasses the taxonomic study of Chloris and Stapfochloa in Paraíba State, contributing to the knowledge of local agrostological flora. Consultations on the virtual databases, as well as visits to physical herbaria, collecting expeditions and fieldwork observations, were made. In the study area, the occurrence of five species of Chloris and one species of Stapfochloa was confirmed. Identification key, descriptions, information about economic value and geographical distribution, ecology, and images of the species are provided.
RESUMO
O presente trabalho compreende o levantamento taxonômico das espécies de Chloris e Stapfochloa no Estado da Paraíba, ampliando o conhecimento da flora agrostológica local. Foram realizadas consultas em bases virtuais, visitas a herbários físicos e excursões para coletas e observações em campo. Na área de estudo foi confirmada a ocorrência de cinco espécies de Chloris e uma espécie de Stapfochloa. Chave de identificação, descrições dos táxons, dados sobre distribuição geográfica e importância econômica, ecologia e imagens das espécies são fornecidas.
