RESUMO
O presente trabalho teve como objetivo identificar as perspectivas no estudo do brincar a partir de resumos de artigos; fornecendo, assim, um panorama do que vem sendo pesquisado sobre este tema. Para isso, foi realizada uma busca sistemática em uma base de dados bibliográficos internacional (PsycInfo – APA) e em duas nacionais (Scielo e Index Psi). Foram encontrados resumos de artigos que datavam de 1980 até 2005 (n=181), os quais foram analisados e classificados sistematicamente. As conclusões apontam para a) necessidade de considerar outras faixas etárias no estudo do brincar; b) necessidade de um maior número de pesquisas empíricas nacionais; c) identificação de poucas pesquisas que relacionam o brincar com a aprendizagem e d) predomínio de pesquisas que relacionam o brincar ao desenvolvimento infantil.(AU)
ABSTRACT
This work aimed to identify perspectives in the study of play by examining the abstracts from scientific papers on the subject and forming a synthesis of the research conducted between 1980 and 2005. To this end, one international bibliographic database (PsycInfo – APA) and two national bibliographic databases (Scielo and Index Psi) were consulted. The abstracts obtained from the relevant works were systematically analyzed and classified. Conclusions reached were as follows (a) Age-groups apart from those normally studied are required for a proper elucidation of the nature of play. (b) Further empirical research is needed on a national level. (c) The relationship between play and learning had been inadequately explored. (d) It has been found a predominance of research relating play to infant development.(AU)
