RESUMO
O trabalho tenta mostrar como as pessoas têm se organizado para a distribuição de água de irrigação numa região do semi-árido ocidental da Venezuela. Apresenta parte da história da legislação na área e particularmente como, por meio da eleição de um juiz de água, com uma tradição de mais de 150 anos, distribui-se a água no Vale de Quíbor. Como arcabouço teórico e metodológico, utilizo várias noções (todas elas baseadas na perspectiva do construcionismo social) campo-tema, matriz, interface social e práticas discursivas para a compreensão, por meio do discurso, de formas não institucionalizadas de organização da irrigação de água. O trabalho visa contribuir com os estudos da psicologia social sobre problemas localizados em zonas rurais.(AU)
ABSTRACT
This paper explores the ways in wich rural workers get organized in order to distribute water irrigation in a semi arid region of Venezuela. It is based on a theoretical as well as a methodological social constructionist aproach. To do so it presents a historical review of water legislation and aparticularly dicusses the rol of water juris figure, elected by agricultural workers, as part of a 150 year tradition in the Quibors Valley of Venezuela. This work aims to constribute to the studies in social psychology within rural areas.(AU)
