RESUMO

Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar a psicoterapia de apoio como modalidade de intervenção psicoterápica mais indicada para pessoas com intenso sofrimento psíquico, mas com algumas limitações em suas condições egóicas, seja pela ocorrência de situações traumáticas recentes, seja por um desenvolvimento já prejudicado desde a infância. É uma técnica que se utilizará especialmente de intervenções suportivas e manterá o foco na realidade presente do paciente, sem estimular a regressão e a transferência

ABSTRACT

This paper aims to present the supportive psychotherapy as the most suitable psychotherapeutic intervention in people with intense mental suffering,although with some limitations in their ego conditions, either due to theoccurrence of recent traumatic situations, or through an already damaged development from childhood. It is a technique that makes special use of supportive interventions and keeps the focus on the patient’s present reality,without stimulating regression or transference
