Saberes e fazeres de agentes comunitários de saúde frente à experiência da loucura / Knowledge and actions of the community health agents in view of the experience of madness

RESUMO

A atenção em saúde mental vinculada à atenção primária tem se configurado como um aspecto fundamental da reforma psiquiátrica. O Agente Comunitário de Saúde é um ator importante nesse processo em função de seu caráter híbrido, sendo um agente “na” e “da”comunidade. Entretanto, pouco se tem investido nesse agente social e investigado que práticas articulam em saúde mental. Esta pesquisa objetivou mapear as concepções e as práticas desenvolvidas pelos ACS inseridos no PSF frente à experiência da loucura. Utilizamos questionário semi-estruturado com 14 ACS. Observamos que os ACS estão em contato direto com essa demanda no cotidiano e despreparados para lidar com tais questões. (AU)

ABSTRACT

The link between mental health attention and primary care has become a fundamental health reform precept. The Community Health Agent is an important actor in this process because of his hybrid character, that is, he is an agent “in” and “of” the community. However, very little has been invested in this social agent or in investigations about his practice in mental health. The objective of this study was to delineate the concepts and practices developed by the Community Health Agent in the Family Health Program, as to the experience of madness. We used a semi-structured questionnaire with 14 agents and we observed that they are in direct contac twith this demand, though being unprepared to deal with such questions. (AU)
