Adolescentes em conflito com a lei: aspectos sociodemográficos de uma amostra em medida socioeducativa com privação de liberdade / Adolescents in conflict with the law: sociodemographic analysis of a sample in social educational measure deprived of freedom

RESUMO

Este artigo apresenta as características sociodemográficas de 83 adolescentes em medida socioeducativa com privação de liberdade, internosem uma unidade da Fundação de Assistência Socioeducativa da regiãometropolitana de Porto Alegre (RS). Por meio de entrevista semiestruturadaforam coletados dados sobre idade, procedência, escolaridade, família,consumo de substâncias e histórico clínico/legal. Os resultados apontaramvulnerabilidade acentuada dos 13 aos 15 anos, idades nas quais se iniciou oconsumo abusivo de álcool e drogas para a maioria dos participantes usuários.Infrações com arma de fogo e assaltos foram preponderantes, além dereprovação/abandono escolar, desconhecimento da renda familiar e criminalidadeentre familiares e pares. Constatou-se a importância da atenção àspotencialidades da família e do adolescente durante o processo que envolveo cumprimento de medidas socioeducativas. Além disso, é de crucial importânciaa atuação interdisciplinar para o enfretamento dos comportamentosantissociais graves, envolvendo diferentes setores de políticas públicas.Embora o estudo forneça dados específi cos para a amostra, é relevante aoapontar que não é possível dissociar violência e saúde, sugerindo aspectos aserem considerados na atuação socioeducativa e psicossocial. ABSTRACT

This article presents sociodemographic characteristics of 83 adolescentsin social-educational measure deprived of freedom, all of which areinterns in a unit of the Social-Educational Assistance Foundation in the PortoAlegre metropolitan region. Using a semi-structured interview, we collecteddata on age, origin, education, family, substance use and clinical/legal history.The results indicate extreme vulnerability from 13 to 15 years of age, which isthe age related to the initiation of drug and alcohol abuse for most of the participantswho are users of these substances. Legal infractions involving weaponsand armed robbery were preponderant, as well as failing/abandoning school,unawareness of family income and criminality among family and peers. It wasobserved the importance of the family and the adolescent’s potential during theprocess involving the implementation of social-educational measures. Moreover, it is of crucial importance the implementation of interdisciplinary actionfor the confrontation of serious antisocial behavior, involving diff erent publicpolicy sectors. Although this study provides specifi c data for the selected sample,it is relevant to point out that it is not possible to dissociate violence fromhealth, therefore suggesting a number of aspects to be considered in psychosocialand social-educational action.
