Percepções de família para adolescentes em situação de abrigamento / Perceptions of family for adolescents living in shelters

RESUMO

Sabe-se que a família assume importante papel no desenvolvimento humano. As relações e experiências vividas neste sistema estruturam bases para as relações futuras e as influenciam em diferentes graus e intensidades, relacionadas ao que as pessoas vivenciam como família. O presente estudo buscou, através do método do Grupo Focal, conhecer a percepção de família para adolescentes em situação de abrigamento. Participaram do estudo seis adolescentes, de 14 a 17 anos, de ambos os sexos. Observou-se que para estes adolescentes a família é associada a sentimentos e ações positivas, calcada no modelo tradicional, abarcando pessoas com grau de parentesco e sistema ampliado, com ênfase nos vínculos relacionais. Abordaram-se, ainda, as funções e papéis familiares e as expectativas quanto à família no futuro, sendo que estes adolescentes desejam famílias diferentes da de origem, com a assunção dos cuidados com os irmãos menores.(AU)

ABSTRACT

It is known that the family plays an important role in human development. The relationships and experiences in this system structured foundation for future relations and influence, in different degrees and intensities, what people experience as a family. The present study aimed, through the method of Focus Group, to investigate the perception of family for teenagers in shelter institution. The study included six teenagers, aged 14 to 17 years, of both sexes. It was observed that for these adolescents the family is associated with positive feelings and actions, based on the traditional model, encompassing persons with relationship and extended system, with emphasis on relational ties. Also were discussed the family roles and expectations of family in the future, and these teens want a different family in the future than their families of origin, with the assumption of caring for younger siblings.(AU)
