Uma perspectiva autodeterminada da motivação para aprender língua estrangeira no contexto escolar / A self-determined perspective of the motivation for foreign language learning in the school context

RESUMO

O presente artigo aborda a motivação para aprendizagem de língua estrangeira no contexto escolar. O envolvimento dos alunos em cada disciplina do currículo varia muito em função de diversos fatores individuais e de contexto, ligados à motivação. Um problema educacional que se tem detectado consiste na desmotivação algo generalizada por aprender língua estrangeira, exigida a partir da 5ª série. Trata-se, portanto, de uma área promissora para pesquisas em nosso meio, mas ainda pouco explorada. Dessa forma, o objetivo desse estudo é explorar o assunto da motivação para aprender língua estrangeira usando como referencial teórico a teoria da autodeterminação. Para isso, foi baseado em pesquisadores internacionais por não haver pesquisas desenvolvidas no Brasil sobre essa temática. Com a utilização da teoria da autodeterminação busca-se compreender os determinantes motivacionais e descobrir contextos promotores das formas autodeterminadas de motivação. Considera-se que algumas alternativas para alcançar o envolvimento dos estudantes são representadas pela motivação intrínseca e as formas autorreguladas de motivação extrínseca(AU)

ABSTRACT

The present article approaches the motivation for learning of foreign language in the school context. The involvement of learners in each discipline of curriculum varies much in function of several individual and contextual factors, linked to the motivation. An educational problem that has been detected consists in the desmotivation generalized to lean foreign language, required since the fifth series. It's, therefore, a promising area for researches in our field, but still less explored. Thus, the objective of this study is to explore the subject of motivation to learn foreign language using as theoretical referential the self-determination theory. For this, it was based on international researchers due to there are not researches developed in Brazil on this thematic. With the use of the self-determination theory it attempts to understand the motivational determinants and to discover contexts promoters of ways of motivation self-determined. It considers that some alternatives to reach the students' involvement are represented by the intrinsic motivation and the auto-regulated forms of extrinsic motivation(AU)
