História ginecológica e sintomatologia climatérica de mulheres pertencentes a uma unidade de saúde pública do Estado do Acre / Gynecological history and climacteric symptomatology of women in a public health unit of the State of Acre

RESUMO

INTRODUÇÃO: o climatério é o período da vida das mulheres marcado por inúmeras transformações e mudanças, que caracterizam o término do período reprodutivo. OBJETIVO: descrever a história ginecológica e a sintomatologia de mulheres na pré, peri e pós-menopausa. MÉTODO: estudo transversal com 265 mulheres na faixa etária dos 35 aos 65 anos. Foram feitas análises descritivas segundo a história ginecológica e sintomatologia. Para análise bivariada, utilizou-se o teste qui-quadrado, adotando-se p<0,05. RESULTADOS: As médias de idade a menarca, número de gestações, número de filhos vivos e idade da menopausa foram de 13,3 anos, 3,5, 2,8 e 47,5 anos, respectivamente. A diminuição do desejo sexual, a tristeza, a dificuldade de concentração e o esquecimento apresentaram associação com a fase de perimenopausa (p<0,05). A irritação e as ondas de calor associaram-se estatisticamente (p<0,05) com as fases de peri e pós-menopausa. CONCLUSÃO: é imprescindível que a mulher possa expressar os sentimentos, relatar as dificuldades e receber informações pelos profissionais que a assistem sobre as modificações corporais e as suas implicações para a saúde.(AU)

ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION: the climaterium is a period in women´s lives marked by countless changes and transformations which characterize the end of the reproductive period. OBJECTIVE: to describe the gynecological history and the symptomatology in women in pre-, peri- and post menopausal stages. METHOD: a cross-sectional study with 265 women 35-65 years of age. A descriptive analysis was made according to the gynecological history and the symptomatology. For the bivariate analysis, we used the chi-square test, adopting p <0.05. RESULTS: mean age at menarche, number of pregnancies, number of live births and age at menopause were 13.3, 3.5, 2.8 and 47.5 years respectively. Decreased sexual desire, sadness, lack of concentration and the forgetfulness were symptoms linked to perimenopause (p<0.05). Irritation and hot flashes were statistically associated (p<0.05) with the peri- and post-menopausal stages. CONCLUSION: it is essential for the patient to express her feelings, relate the difficulties and receive information by professionals who attend them about body changes and their health implications.(AU)
