Troca de cartas no time da vida: um bate-bola construtivo / Exchange of letters in the team of life: a constructive pick up game

RESUMO

Este artigo apresenta e discute uma experiência da aplicação da metodologia do Time da Vida em um contexto que envolveu a troca de correspondências entre os internos de centros de reabilitação de drogas e álcool no Brasil e na Austrália. Apesar da distância física e cultural entre esses dois grupos, eles conseguiram destacar pontos em comum em suas histórias, construindo uma relação de mútua ajuda que auxiliou no processo de tratamento. Tal experiência baseou-se nos pressupostos que cada pessoa é especialista em sua própria história e consegue, nas interações que estabelece com os demais, fortalecer aspectos positivos de sua vida, reconhecer as habilidades e conhecimentos, assim como ampliar sua história. Além disso, a troca de cartas entre eles promoveu no grupo a noção de unidade compartilhada e um interesse em contribuir com a vida de outros que passam por situações semelhantes. (AU)

ABSTRACT

This article presents and discusses an experience of the team of life methodology involving mail exchange between inmates of alcohol and drugs rehabilitation center in Brazil and Australia. Despite the physical and cultural distance between these two groups, they weren able to highlight common aspects in their stories, and to build a relationship of mutual support that helped in the treatment process. This experience was build upon the idea that each person is an expert in his/her own history. Once a person has established interactions with others, he/she is able to strengthen positive aspects of his/her life, to acknoeledge skills and knowledge as well as thickening their own stories. Furthermore, exchanging mails enabled the sense of shared unity among individual, as well as the intetion to contribute to the lives of others in similar or related situations. (AU)
