O corpo e seus limites: entre o tecnicismo biológico e a narrativa estética / The body and its limits: between the biological technicism and the aesthetic narrative

RESUMO

Na modernidade, o corpo foi tomado como um lugar reservado à identidade e ao espaço de diferenciação com os objetos do mundo. Essa marcação subjetiva do corpo pressupõe a referência à ideia de finitude, ou seja, aos condicionamentos biológicos e sócio-culturais do indivíduo, de acordo com a perspectiva foucaultiana sobre o surgimento das ciências humanas. Atualmente, em função dos desenvolvimentos da biotecnologia, a manipulação do corpo, explorada em seu caráter objetivo, tornou-se cada vez mais eficiente e autônoma em relação a qualquer restrição individual. Em face desses discursos biotecnológicos, posiciona-se uma experimentação literária do corpo que o aborda em sua materialidade, mas a partir de uma narrativa que inscreve nas células e órgãos recortes de um sujeito. Dessa forma, se reconhece que, a propósito da dimensão subjetiva do corpo, as intervenções tecnocientíficas ainda não determinaram completamente uma descontinuidade entre a modernidade e a chamada "pós-modernidade".(AU)

ABSTRACT

In modernity, the body was taken as a place reserved to the identity and to the space of differentiation with objects of the world. This subjective marking of the body assumes the reference to the idea of finitude, in other words, the biological and socio-cultural conditioning of the individual, according to a Foucauldian perspective on the emergence of the humanities. Currently, due to developments of biotechnology, the manipulation of the body, explored in its objective character, became increasingly efficient and autonomous in relation to any individual restriction. In face of these biotechnological discourses, a literary experimentation of the body is positioned approaching it in its materiality, but from a narrative that writes in cells and organs clippings of a subject. Thus, it is recognized that, about the subjective dimension of the body, the techno-scientific interventions have not determine yet a complete discontinuity between the modernity and the so-called "post-modernity".(AU)
