ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of a non-supervisedphysical training associated with the use of technology in patients with chronic kidney disease. This is a controlled clinical trial with 18 patients randomized by blocks in the control group (G1) and intervention group (G2), so that the G1 did not conduct intervention and the G2 was instructed to complete a training muscular resistance at home, with frequency of four times a week, for a period of three months, with the aid of video lessons recorded on three DVDs. The two groups were assessed for measures of body mass index and waist circumference, Sit and Stand tests and 3rd finger ground, questionnaire KDQOL- SF, Katz and Lawton scales and clinical examinations. In the data analysis, we used the Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Mann-Whitney tests, and chi-square. The groups were homogeneous (p>0,05) when compared with each other, and both were at baseline and in the follow-up evaluation, they carried out in the third month. Therefore, the non-supervised physical training associated with the use of technology was not effective on the aspects analyzed. (AU)
