Histórias que fortalecem profissionais em um contexto de adoecimento progressivo / Stories that empower professionals in a context of progressive illnesses

RESUMO

Este artigo descreve o processo de construção de um contexto de diálogo e colaboração em uma equipe multidisciplinar, especializada em pacientes com doenças neuromusculares. A equipe experimenta diariamente sentimentos de impotência diante da precocidade da morte e da incerteza do futuro, por vezes sem espaço para serem compartilhados na rotina de trabalho. Relata especificamente, a produção de um documento coletivo e posteriormente a realização de uma cerimônia de definição, ambos inspirados nas chamadas Práticas Narrativas Coletivas descritas por David Denborough. Narrar e renarrar histórias vividas com os pacientes, ressaltando habilidades e conhecimentos da equipe ao enfrentar as dificuldades para estar da melhor maneira possível com tais pacientes e seus familiares, colaborou para o fortalecimento da equipe e proporcionou o início de uma grande rede conversacional sobre o tema.(AU)

ABSTRACT

This article describes the process of reconstruction within a dialogue context and collaboration of a team of multidisciplinary professionals who are specialised in patients with neuromuscular diseases. The team experiences feelings of impotence created by the deep impact of early deaths and uncertainty of the future. These feelings often had no room for sharing in the daily routine of work. This report also a production of a document of collective production and subsequently the ceremony of definition, both inspired by the called Collective Narratives written by David Denborough. This team tells and retells stories lived with their patients enhancing the team’s skills and knowledge while facing difficulties and doing their best when spending time with the patients and families. These facts strengthened the team and offered the beginning of a large conversational network about the theme.(AU)
