ABSTRACT
The increase in Internet access, isolation and the behavioral influence of social media were identified as contributors to the increase in suicide among adolescents. Thus, in the current brazilian legislation the suicide does not configure crime but the inducement, instigation or assistance to suicide are considered crimes. The objective of this research was to describe the game doll Momo, rules, mechanisms, and analyse the implications of the legislative system on the practice of this game. This is a qualitative study, classified as exploratory and descriptive. The results pointed to the misuse of image, inciting/solicitation and/or induction of autolesivos behaviors or cause damage, embarrassment, and suicide threat. It might be inferred that there is no legislation in case of Momo challenge. Thus, we highlight the importance of discussing matters relating to mental health and parental guidance, as contributors to a better quality of life, and the consequences of the reduction and prevention of these game.(AU)
