ABSTRACT
Objective:
To study the expressions of p33ING1, estrogen receptor(ER),progestrone receptor(PR) and c-erbB-2 in the specimens of thyroid carcinomas. Methods:
The immunohistochemical methods(SP) were used to detect the expressions ofp33ING1',ER,PR and c-erbB-2 in specimens of thyroid adenomas (TA) and thyroid carcinomas (TC).Results:
The positive expression rates of p33ING1, ER, PR and c-erbB-2 protein were76.5%,35.0%,40.0% and 5.0% in TA; and 41.2%,57.8%,64.4%and 46.7% in TC, respectively. There was a significant difference between groups (P<0.05 or P<0.01). There was a negative correlation between expressions of e-erbB-2 protein and p33ING1, ER, PR(r=-0.218, -0.221, -0.213, P<0.01).Conclusion:
It may play an important role that p33ING1, ER, PR and e-erbB-2 protein in occurrence and development of thyroid carcinoma, and they may be factors to predict the prognosis of thyroid carcinoma.
