ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To study the change of consumption of antibacterial agents especially the ceftazidime and its effect on drug resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA). METHODS: The consumption of the top ten antimicrobial agents in terms of cases/times of medication from 2005 to 2006 in a hospital and its correlation with the drug resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were analyzed.
