OBJECTIVE:
To discuss the effects of different intensive treatment on B islet cell function in patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes.METHODS:
54 patients who had been newly diagnosed as having type 2 diabetes were randomly assigned to receive Insulin aspart 30 or Glimepiride combined with Metformin (oral hypoglycemic agent).
