ABSTRACT
Objective To investigate the early sensitive signs of the micro meningioma using CT and MRI and to improve the detection rate. Methods A retrospective analysis of the clinical and imaging data of 41 patients with micro meningioma was conducted, who were diagnosed by clinical following-up and pathological results. The position and the features of CT and MRI of the intracranial meningiomas were calculated and analyzed. Results Of the 21 patients with micro meningioma who underwent CT scan,5 cases presented calcification density,12 cases showed high or slightly high density,4 cases showed isodensity. All participants were underwent MRI.Among of them,37 cases with isointensity and 4 cases with hypointensity on T1 WI;On T2 WI,33 cases with isointensity,4 cases with hyperintensity and 4 cases with hypointensity;and 14 cases with slight hyperintensity,27 cases with isointensity on FLAIR.Of the 13 micro meningioma who did DWI,5 cases with hyperintensity or slight hyperintensity. All lesions were obviously enhanced. Conclusion Multimodal MRI (FLAIR,DWI ),enhanced scan and thin slice from different directions (sagittal plane),combined with CT may greatly reduce the omission diagnostic rate.
