Overview of pharmacological treatment of heart failure in chronic Keshan disease / 中华地方病学杂志

ABSTRACT

Keshan disease is an endemic cardiomyopathy of unclear cause.The major clinical manifestations are cardiac dysfunction and arrhythmia.Based on time course of onset and cardiac function of a suffering patient,Keshan disease is generally classified into four typesacute,sub-acute,chronic and latent types.This article elaborates on the pharmacological mechanisms and dosages of drug treatment for heart failurediuretics,neurohormonal antagonists,ivabradine,positive inotropic drugs,vasodilators,etc,in order to provide basis for clinical treatment of chronic Keshan disease.
