ABSTRACT
Objective To understand the effects of comprehensive community early intervention on the progression of diabetic nephropathy. Methods A total of 86 cases of diabetic with urine micro protein abnormalities were divided into drug intervention group and community comprehensive intervention group with 43 cases in each group.Drug intervention group received losartan tablets only while comprehensive intervention group received diabetic health education, dietary intervention, proper intervention of aerobic exercise and other lifestyles on drug intervention basis. The intervention lasted for 24 weeks. Then the changes of related indexes were observed and compared. Results The difference of indexes between two groups had no statistical significance before the intervention (P >0.05).However,all indexes decreased after the intervention (P <0.05 )and the glycosylated hemoglobin, blood pressure, fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol, serum creatinine values of the comprehensive intervention group were significantly lower than those of drug intervention group (P <0.05 ).Conclusion Comprehensive intervention could better prevent or delay the progression of diabetic nephropathy comparing with drug only intervention.
