ABSTRACT
Gastric microecosystem is composed of all the microbes and the microenvironment in the stomach. A complicated web of interactions, including interactions between Helicobacter pylori and other gastric bacteria, bacteria and bacteria, and bacteria and mucosal immune system is involved in the homeostasis of the gastric microecosystem. Maintaining the balance of microecosystem in the stomach can promote human health, while imbalanced gastric microecosystem can lead to a variety of diseases. The advances in study on characteristics of composition and function of gastric microecosystem and potential pathogens were summarized in this article to provide an insight into the pathogenesis of chronic gastritis.
