Xerophthalmia and keratomalacia in children

ABSTRACT

1. A study of 97 cases of vitamin A deficiency with eye manifestation is presented2. The importance of early diagnosis and therapy is emphasized, to prevent the occurrence of blindness in infancy and childhood3. Symptomatology, both objective and subjective, are discussed, together with the different conditions or diseases associated with it4. Treatment and results of therapy were also described. (Summary)
