Contribuição ao estudo do diagnóstico das fraturas faciais que envolvem a cavidade orbitária por mapeamentos de tomografia computadorizada / Contribution to diagnosis study of facial fractures wich envolves the cavity orbitary by computerized tomography's maping

RESUMO

The purpose of this study was the examination of computerized tomography's worth in the radiodiagnostic of the face's settled segment's fractures with orbitary involvment, to make clear the clinic signs and symptoms inherent of the traumatism, comparing it to conventional radiographic technique. To do that, there were estimated nine orbits of wich walls presented fractures, in the period between february and november of 1985. The results of these exams added to the experiences of the specialists named in the literature's revision guided us to conclude that computerized tomographic scans are of the great value in diagnosis of alterations that follows the orbitary fractures
