RESUMO

As questões sobre o sujeito, sobre o humano, inquietam grandemente a humanidade e várias áreas do conhecimento. Compreender o sujeito e os processos pelos quais ele se constitui é o foco central e base da ciência psicológica. Contudo, este objeto de estudo se reveste de dificuldades, o que transparece nas várias abordagens a seu respeito, ora objetivistas, ora subjetivistas. Com a finalidade de contribuir com tal discussão, este estudo objetiva analisar como o existencialismo de Jean-Paul Sartre aborda os processos de constituição do sujeito. A perspectiva sartreana enriquece a Psicologia, pois, ao rejeitar reducionismos, oferece uma concepção que não dicotomiza o fenômeno da objetificação-subjetificação, na medida em que concebe o sujeito na relação dialética entre a objetividade e a subjetividade. Sartre não apenas propõe elementos para compreender corpo, consciência e mundo como uma realidade humana e histórica, como, também, elucida como o sujeito, ao ser forjado na intersubjetividade, realiza a sua história pessoal e coletiva.

ABSTRACT

The issues on the subject, on the human being, widely concern mankind and several areas of knowledge. Understanding the subject and the processes by which such a subject is constituted is the central focus and basis of psychological science. However, this object of study has difficulties, which are evident in the different approaches to it, either objectivist or subjectivist ones. In order to contribute to such discussion, this study aims at analyzing how the existentialism of Jean-Paul Sartre approaches the processes of the constitution of the subject. The Sartrean perspective enriches Psychology because, by rejecting reductionisms, it offers a conception that does not dichotomize the phenomenon of objectification-subjectification, since it conceives the subject in the dialectical relation between objectivity and subjectivity. Sartre does not only suggest elements to understand body, consciousness and the world as a human and historical reality, but also elucidates how the subject, who is forged in intersubjectivity, constructs his/her personal and collective history.
