ABSTRACT
Craniopharyngiomas represent 6 to 10 percent of the intracranial tumors in childhood and 30 percent in adults; they are rare in the elderly. Their diverse clinical manifestations, such as visual, endocrine and superior psychic sphere symptoms make it difficult to be diagnosed in the elderly, hence the importance of the presentation of this case, which is about a male patient in his seventies, suffering from headache and progressive visual deficit. The neuro-imaginal studies supported his surgery. His evolution was satisfactory. The histopathologic examination confirmed the diagnosis of craniopharyngioma, an infrequent intracranial benign tumor in the elderly, which has to be taken into consideration in patients showing those symptoms (AU)
