ABSTRACT
Relation between fault geography and damages of water pipeline was considered. It was cleared that faults generally affected to pipeline damage and its mode, but some faults didn't. Geographical feature like terrace or stratified structure also affect to pipe damages. By 2-dimension FEM analysis considering fault with joint element and up thrusting of bedrock, focus effect was made sure. It was cleared that bending moment and shear force become large remarkably at the node above the fault in respect to the pipe.(AU)
