RESUMEN

El profesor Manuel García Suárez perteneció a la estirpe de médicos que aparecen de cuando en cuando. Es, en Matanzas, uno de los fundadores y más notorios especialistas en el mundo de los rayos x, padre, además, de la radiología pediátrica. Marcó con su pensamiento y acción todos los lugares por donde pasó. Su visión del mundo, su doctrina y vocación pedagógica lo llevaron a servir y a luchar por el bienestar del hombre y sus bienes más queridos, los niños. Este panegírico constituye sólo un pequeño acercamiento a su vida y obra.

ABSTRACT

Professor Manuel García Suárez pertained to the lineage of the physicians appearing form time to time. In Matanzas , he was one of the founders and one of the most notable specialists in the X-rays world, and also the father of the paediatric radiology. With his thoughts and actions he marked all the places by which he passed. His world viewing, his pedagogical doctrine and vocation, led him to serve and fight for human welfare, and for the dearest human wealth, children. This panegyric is only a little approach to his life.
