Enxerto ósseo autógeno com objetivo de restabelecer contorno vestibular de incisivo central / Graft bone autogenous with objective of compensating vestibular defect of central incisor

RESUMO

A Odontologia evoluiu notavelmente nas últimas décadas, desde a prevenção de doenças até o tratamento e reabilitação dos indivíduos edêntulos com atrofias severas. A atrofia alveolar após a extração é contínua e irreversível e sua etiologia é multifatorial, portanto, o posicionamento tridimensional do implante em relação ao processo alveolar e aos tecidos moles consiste em um desafio. O objetivo deste trabalho foi relatar um caso clínico no qual foi utilizado osso autógeno obtido por meio de fresagem com trefina para compensar defeito vestibular em região anterior de maxila e posterior implantação. Neste artigo demonstrou-se que por meio de um enxerto adequado com bons fundamentos científicos previamente à colocação do implante obtemos resultados previsíveis.

ABSTRACT

Dentistry has increasingly evolved in the last decades, from disease prevention through treatment and rehabilitation of edentulous patients with severe atrophic arches. Bone atrophy after tooth extraction is continuous and irreversible; due to its multifactorial etiology, three-dimensional implant positioning related to the alveolar process and soft tissue remains a challenge. This paper reports a case in which an autogenous bone graft was obtained by milling with trephine to compensate for vestibular defect in the maxilla and posterior implantation. Thus, by means of a suitable graft with good scientific foundation prior to implant placement it is possible to obtain predictable results.
