RESUMO

Abordando terapêuticas distintas em dois casos clínicos, este artigo apresenta o restabelecimento da forma e cor de lesões de classe IV, enfatizando a importância do correto diagnóstico para definição da abordagem restauradora. No primeiro caso, o sobrecontorno estético restaurador da classe IV objetivou corrigir leve inclinação vestibulopalatal, resultando em dominância dos incisivos centrais. No segundo caso clínico, a restauração da fratura sem execução de bisel limitou-se à reconstituição morfológica e das características ópticas, promovendo naturalidade e harmonia. Conclui que correto diagnóstico e obediência ao protocolo de execução promovem resultados conservadores e naturalidade.

ABSTRACT

This article presents two clinical cases of reestablishment of form and color of Class IV cavities, highlighting the importance of a correct diagnosis. In the first case, the aim of the esthetic overcontouring using the Class IV restoration was to correct the slight labial-palatal tilting, resulting in dominance of central incisors. In the second clinical case, the restoration of the fracture without bevel, was limited to the restoration of the lost morphological and optical features, to promote naturality and harmony. The authors concluded that the correct diagnosis and following the protocol produce conservative, life-like results.
