INTRODUCTION: Underfunding of the health systemin Poland causes the patients to bear a proportion of the costs of treatment. AIM: The aim of this study was to gather knowledge of health-care services financed by the patients and socio-demographic factors which are influencing how often they use them. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A diagnostic survey was conducted among 384 residents of the West Pomeranian Province. RESULTS: Respondents most frequently used the paid services of dental care.
