ABSTRACT
Objective To investigate the antineoplastic action of 5-aza-2-deoxycytidine(CdR) in combination with arsenic trioxide on HL 60 myeloid leukemia cells. Methods HL 60 leukemia cells were incubated with CdR and arsenic trioxide and their antineoplastic action was determined by cells grouth curve, surface differentiation antigen spikes of subdiploid of cell cycle and superoxide dismutase etc. Results CdR combined with arsenic trioxide produced a greater growth inhibition andmove strong induced the differentiation of HL 60 cell than that in anyone of the two agents used independently.Conclution These results suggest that the arsenic trioxide may enhance the anti-leukemic action of CdR.
