Effect of BMP-2 on apoptosis of hepatoma cells and its mechanisms / 中国普通外科杂志

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the effect of BMP-2 on apoptosis of human hepatoma HepG2 cells and the mechanisms.Methods Cell apoptosis was assessed by ELISA.Western blot was used to detect the expression of Bcl-2 and Fas proteins in HepG2 cells after treatment of BMP-2.Results 1～100ng/mL BMP-2 induced HepG2 cell apoptosis,and down-regulated Bcl-2 protein expression and increased Fas protein expression.Conclusions The present study suggests that BMP-2 induces HepG2 cell apoptosis may through Fas pathway.
