ABSTRACT
This study attempted to delineate the relationship between juvenile laryngeal papillomas (JLP) and genital HPV infection in their mothers on 36 pediatric patients JLP with HPV(+) and 14 their mothers with HPV detection from cervical swab at ENT Hospital HoChiMinh city, from March 2000 to March 2004. The results showed that the rate of genital HPV(+) is 85.7%; the similarity between child and mother genotype is 100% with HPV-11 and 75% with HPV-6. It could have the possibility of HPV transmision from mother to child in recurrent respiratory papillomatosis
