ABSTRACT
Objective:
To explore the effects of lipoxygenase inhibitor NDGA on telomerase and bcl-2 of breast cancer MCF-7 cells.Methods:
MCF-7 cells in the logarithmic growth state were selected and measured.Four cell groups (concentration0,1,10,100?mol/L)were divided in the experiment.After 48h treatment of NDGA,the mRNA expression of telomerase was examined by RT-PCR and the expression of bcl-2 was measured by flow cytometry.Results:
After 48h treatment of different concentration of NDGA,the expressions of hTERTmRNA and bcl-2 in NDGA groups were both significantly lower than the control group (P0.001).Conclusion:
NDGA can prevent proliferation and induce apoptosis in MCF-7 cells by means of the down-regulated expressions of hTERTmRNA and bcl-2.
