ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the protective effects of puerarin on CCl 4-induced acute hepatic injury of rats. Methods Acute hepatic injury model was induced by CCl 4. Before and after low-dose (40 mg/kg) or high-dose (200 mg/kg) of puerarin was given, the levels of AST, ALT in serum, and liver index, and SOD activity, MDA content in serum and liver tissue were measured.
