Progress on pharmacological activities and mechanism of Anemarrhena saponin / 药学实践杂志

ABSTRACT

As a traditional Chinese medicine ,Anemarrhena saponin is one of the main components in Anemarrhena . Many pharmacological activities were reported in recent literatures ,such as anti-tumor ,anti-senile dementia ,improving learn-ing and memory ,anti-clotting ,anti-thrombus ,reducing blood glucose and lipid ,anti-depression ,lowering blood pressure ,and so on .In this paper ,the pharmacological effects of the Anemarrhena saponin were summarized in four aspects which are anti-tumor ,central nervous system ,cardiovascular system and endocrine system to provide an important basis for further develop-ment of Anemarrhena .
