ABSTRACT
Entre los entornos virtuales de enseñanza-aprendizaje figura la Clínica Virtual Docente, que es un espacio educativo de gran trascendencia en el contexto universitario de las ciencias médicas, el cual contiene situaciones de salud agrupadas en diferentes especialidades y secciones con características específicas en cuanto a objetivos y organización, lo que favorece la integración de actividades docentes, presenciales o no, y el intercambio social entre personas que comparten problemas e intereses afines, con la perspectiva de la construcción permanente de saberes, a partir de principios rectores bien definidos, como crear, compartir y colaborar.
Among the teaching-learning virtual environments figures the Teaching Virtual Clinic that is an educational space of great transcendency in the university context of medical sciences, which contains health situations grouped in different specialties and sections with specific characteristics as for objectives and organization, what favors the integration of teaching activities with or without physical presence, and the social exchange between people that share common problems and interests, with the perspective of the permanent construction of knowledge, starting from very well defined rectors principles, as creating, sharing and collaborating.

La Clínica Virtual Docente ha ocupado un lugar primordial como entorno virtual de enseñanza-aprendizaje, puesto que supone un cambio esencial en la didáctica universitaria de las ciencias médicas, la que demanda un proceso docente más dinámico, interactivo y activo en el tratamiento de situaciones de salud, basado en el intercambio social entre personas que comparten problemas e intereses afines, y con la perspectiva de la construcción permanente de saberes, a partir de principios rectores bien definidos, como son el de crear, compartir y colaborar.
Teaching Virtual Clinic has occupied an essential place as virtual environment of the teaching-learning process, since it supposes an essential change in the university didactics of medical sciences, that demands a more dynamic, interactive and active teaching process in the treatment of health situations, based on the social exchange between people that share similar problems and interests, and with the perspective of the permanent construction of knowledge, starting from well defined guiding principles, as creating, sharing and collaborating.

En este artículo se analizan los resultados obtenidos al corroborar la factibilidad de los videos tutoriales elaborados e implementados, como material de apoyo, para lograr el correcto manejo de la plataforma Open Journal Systems de la revista MEDISAN. Asimismo, se investigan los factores reales que aún inciden en el flujo de todas las etapas del proceso editorial y los actores en cada una de ellas; además, se efectúan recomendaciones sobre cómo socializar los videos, una vez que se han puesto a disposición de la comunidad de autores y revisores y del resto de los profesionales que necesiten interactuar en la plataforma para la edición de una revista electrónica.
In this article the results obtained when corroborating the feasibility of the elaborated and implemented video tutorials, as support material to achieve the correct use of the Open Journal Systems platform in the journal MEDISAN are analyzed. Also, the real factors that still impact on the flow of all the stages of the editing process and the actors in each of them are investigated; also, recommendations are made on how to socialize the videos, once they are at the disposal of the authors and reviewers community and for the rest of the professionals who need to interact in this platform for the publishing process of an electronic journal.

Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica y de los documentos normativos relacionados con el modelo de formación del profesional de la carrera de Estomatología, a fin de valorar los aspectos sociales de la ciencia y la tecnología que inciden en la formación investigativa de los estudiantes de esta carrera. Se observó poca utilización de las tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones para solucionar los trabajos independientes, escaso desarrollo de habilidades para las búsquedas en internet y la aplicación de dichas tecnologías en actividades investigativas por equipos estudiantiles, así como limitada integración de las tecnologías en lo curricular. Se reafirmó la necesidad de una formación investigativa en estos estudiantes, teniendo en cuenta la complejidad social, económica y tecnológica para integrar las nuevas generaciones en la gestión del conocimiento y estimular el aprendizaje.
A literature and current documents review related to the pattern of the professional's training of stomatology career was carried out, in order to value the social aspects of science and technology that impact in the investigative training of the students of this career. It was observed little use of information and communications technologies to solve independent works, poor development of skills for internet searches and the implementation of this technologies in investigative activities for student teams, as well as limited integration of technologies in the curricular aspect. The necessity of an investigative training was reaffirmed in these students, taking into account the social, economic and technological complexity to integrate the new generations in the administration of knowledge and stimulate learning.

El perfeccionamiento del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje del idioma inglés, ha sido objeto de varias investigaciones científicas y ha estado presente en las políticas del Ministerio de Salud Pública, por la importancia que tiene el dominio de este idioma para los profesionales de salud, tanto para su permanente actualización científica como para su inserción en programas de colaboración en países angloparlantes. En este artículo se propone una vía más para contribuir al aprendizaje autónomo a través de la utilización de las bases de datos disponibles en la Biblioteca Virtual de Salud, donde los estudiantes pueden obtener información actualizada para el desarrollo de los seminarios en esta asignatura.
The teaching-learning improvement process of the English language, has been object of several scientific investigations and it has been present in the Ministry of Public Health policies, due to the importance of the language learning skills for the health professionals, either for their permanent scientific upgrading or as for its insertion in collaboration programs in English-speaking countries. In this work, one more way to contribute to the autonomous learning through the use of the available databases in the Health Virtual Library is proposed, where the students can obtain updating information for the development of the seminars in this subject.

Debido al surgimiento de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación, han aparecido transformaciones en los sistemas educativos, para avanzar hacia nuevos modelos de enseñanza que ubican en el centro al profesional durante el posgrado, y que potencian su habilidad para aprender en un ambiente interconectado y cooperativo en línea. En este artículo se esbozan algunas de las dificultades actuales que han surgido a partir de la implementación de la revista MEDISAN en la plataforma Open Journal Systems, las que demandan una alfabetización digital y que hacen de estas tecnologías un medio eficaz que debe ser incorporado como proceso de innovación educativa para satisfacer las necesidades del profesional en el ámbito investigativo, mediante el acceso a nuevas plataformas interactivas
Due to the emergence of the information and communication technologies, transformations have emerged in the educational systems, to advance toward new teaching models that place the professional staff in the center during post degree training, and which potentiate their abilities to learn in an on-line interconnected and cooperative atmosphere. Some of the current difficulties which have arisen with the implementation of MEDISAN in the platform Open Journal Systems are exposed in this work, that demand a digital literacy and which make of these technologies effective tools that should be incorporate as an educational innovation process, to satisfy the professional's needs in the investigative environment, by means of the access to new interactive platforms

El III Encuentro Nacional de Publicación Científica en Ciencias de la Salud se desarrolló del 29 al 31 de marzo del año en curso, auspiciado por el Centro Nacional de Información de Ciencias Médicas y la Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Santiago de Cuba y tuvo como tema central la Política Editorial en revistas biomédicas. Con la participación de directores y editores de una amplia representación de las revistas biomédicas nacionales, y dos invitados internacionales cuyas conferencias resultaron enriquecedoras, el taller marcó las pautas del trabajo editorial en lo adelante, en cuanto a los objetivos comunes a alcanzar para garantizar la calidad y visibilidad de las mismas en nuevas bases de dato.
The 3rd National Meeting for Scientific Publication in the Health Sciences was held from 29th to 31st of March this year, sponsored by the National Information Center of Medical Sciences and the Medical University in Santiago de Cuba had as main topic the editing policy in biomedical journals. With the participation of directors and editors of a wide representation of the biomedical journals, and two international invited personalities, who presented enriching lectures, the workshop set the standards of the future editorial work, regarding the common objectives to be reached to guarantee their quality and visibility in new data base.

En la actualidad el auge de la información en miles de revistas dificulta la correcta identificación y recuperación de la producción científica de los investigadores. Durante los últimos años se han realizado intentos por parte de distintas organizaciones para crear un registro único permanente para los autores, que permita identificar sus artículos dondequiera que estos se ubiquen y con independencia de las especificidades de la escritura del nombre de los autores, las prácticas editoriales y el procesamiento en las bases de datos, así como de los diversos estilos de descripción bibliográfica. Entre estos identificadores ORCID (Open Researcher and Contribution ID), ha tenido las mayores posibilidades de universalizarse para lograr la visibilidad y el posicionamiento de las universidades de Latinoamérica en el contexto internacional actual, es por ello que la revista MEDISAN comenzará a mostrar el registro ORCID de sus autores a partir de enero del 2017
At present, the warehouse of information sources in thousands of journals makes very difficult the correct identification and recovery of the scientific production of researchers. During the last years, attempts of different organizations have been made to create a permanent unique register for authors, which permits to identify their articles wherever they are published and without taking into account the specificity in the author's name, publishing and processing practices in data bases, and different bibliographic description styles as well. Among these identifiers ORCID (Open Researcher and Contribution ID) has had the greatest possibilities of becoming universal to achieve visibility and positioning of Latin-American universities in the present international context, that´s why MEDISAN will start showing the ORCID register of its authors from January 2017 on

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo en una muestra de 58 usuarios de la revista MEDISAN, que carecían de las habilidades básicas en cuanto al procesamiento de esta en la plataforma Open Journal System, desde septiembre de 2014 hasta febrero de 2015, con vistas a contribuir a su alfabetización y a la de todo el personal involucrado en este proceso (revisores, editores y árbitros), para lo cual se elaboró un tutorial en espacios de la intranet e internet, con la utilización de diversas herramientas de software libre. Este se dividió en 5 etapas, y en la segunda fue necesario seguir 5 pasos fundamentales: detalles, políticas, envíos, gestión y apariencia. Mediante dicho tutorial se logró habilidad, adaptación, comprensión y evaluación de la tecnología emergente, demostrado con el incremento cada vez más del número de usuarios. Se concluye que esta plataforma es una contribución de impacto para la comunidad científica tanto de Cuba como de otros países.
A descriptive study was carried out in a sample of 58 users of the journal MEDISAN who lacked the basic skills as for its processing in the Open Journal System platform, from September, 2014 to February, 2015, with the objective of contributing to their literacy and that of the whole staff involved in this process (reviewers, editors and referees), for which a tutorial was elaborated in the intranet and internet spaces, with the use of diverse tools of free software. It was divided into 5 stages, and in the second one it was necessary to follow 5 fundamental steps: details, policy, sendings, management and appearance. By means of this tutorial, skills, adaptation, understanding and evaluation of the emergent technology, were achieved, which was demonstrated with the increment of a greater number of users. It is concluded that this platform is an impact contribution for the scientific community either from Cuba or from other countries.
