Superación profesional del tutor en la carrera Enfermería para el mejoramiento de su desempeño / Professional improvement of the tutor in the career Nursing for the improvement of its performance

RESUMEN La formación del profesional de enfermería en Cuba, de acuerdo con los requerimientos que el Nuevo Modelo Pedagógico demanda, se requiere de la participación del tutor. Figura que necesita de un sistema integral de superación que incluya la preparación metodológica, pedagógica, psicológica, económica, política e ideológica y en técnicas de dirección, que los prepare para alcanzar un liderazgo y realizar con éxito las funciones inherentes a su cargo para que desempeñen con eficacia y excelencia en su labor. El objetivo de este artículo es reflexionar sobre el papel de la superación profesional para el mejoramiento del desempeño del tutor en la carrera de Enfermería. La superación profesional del tutor en la carrera de Enfermería debe estar direccionada a la actualización y perfeccionamiento sistemático que favorezca una formación integral de los recursos humanos y el mejoramiento de su desempeño profesional (AU).

ABSTRACT The training of the nursing professional in Cuba, in accordance with the requirements that the New Pedagogical Model demands, requires the participation of the tutor. It needs a comprehensive system of improvement that includes methodological, pedagogical, psychological, economic, political and ideological preparation and leadership techniques that prepare them to achieve leadership and successfully carry out the functions inherent to their position to perform with efficiency and excellence in its work. The objective of this article is to reflect on the role of the professional improvement for the improvement of the performance of the tutor in the nursing career. The professional improvement of the tutor in the career of Nursing should be directed to the updating and systematic improvement that favors an integral training of the human resources and the improvement of their professional performance (AU).

La educación en valores a través del Análisis de Situación de Salud en idioma inglés / The education in values through the Health Situation Analysis in the English language

Fundamento: la enseñanza del idioma inglés constituye una herramienta para ejercer influencias educativas en los estudiantes a través del Análisis de Situación de Salud en las ciencias médicas. Objetivo: contribuir al fortalecimiento de la educación en valores a través del Análisis de Situación de Salud en idioma inglés. Métodos: se efectuó un estudio prexperimental para promover la discusión y el debate sobre diferentes valores utilizando como base la presentación de un Análisis de Situación de Salud en idioma inglés. Se utilizaron métodos teóricos: el histórico-lógico, análisis-síntesis e hipotético-deductivo; y empíricos: encuestas para determinar el conocimiento sobre valores y cómo fortalecerlos cuando se realiza un ejercicio como este; se realizaron evaluaciones para medir el desempeño de los estudiantes. Resultados: se presentó un Análisis de Situación de Salud en idioma inglés, en forma de actividad científica y con la participación de los profesores de Salud Pública, Medicina General Integral e Inglés, a través del cual se insistió en los valores que desde él se pudieran fortalecer. Se pudo constatar que los estudiantes discutieron y reflexionaron sobre ellos y se logró que hicieran búsquedas bibliográficas en ambos idiomas, utilizando el Portal Infomed. Conclusiones: el ejercicio realizado fue motivador y de elevada importancia para los futuros médicos por cuanto desarrollaron colateralmente varias acciones medulares que fortalecieron su desarrollo integral y permitieron la interdisciplinariedad.

ABSTRACT Background: the teaching of the English language constitutes a tool to exercise educational influences in the students through the Health Situation Analysis in the medical sciences. Objective: to contribute to the strengthening of the education in values through the Health Situation Analysis in the English language. Methods: a pre-experimental study carried out to promote the discussion and the debate about different values based on the presentation of a Health Situation Analysis in the English language. Theoretical methods were used: the historical-logical, analysis-synthesis and hypothetical-deductive; and empiric ones: surveys to determine the knowledge about values and how to strengthen them when it is carried out an exercise like this; evaluations were carried out to measure the students´ performance. Results: a Health Situation Analysis was presented in the English language, in a scientific activity manner with the participation of the professors of Public Health, Comprehensive General Medicine and English; it was insisted on the values that could be strengthened through it. It could be verified that the students discussed and reflected on them and they carried out bibliographical searches in both languages, using the Infomed Portal. Conclusions: the exercise carried out was motivating and of high importance for the future doctors since they collaterally developed several medullar actions that strengthened its comprehensive development and they allowed the interdisciplinary work.

Éxodo en personal de Atención Primaria de Salud / Exodus on Primary Health Care personnel

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y transversal al universo de 25 trabajadores, que causaron baja en el segundo semestre del año 2011, en la Unidad Presupuestada de Salud Pública del municipio de San Nicolás, provincia Mayabeque, con el objetivo de determinar cómo se manifiesta el funcionamiento de la Atención Primaria de Salud en relación al éxodo del personal, así como las principales causas del mismo en la entidad. Se manifiesta el éxodo de forma diferente según la edad, nivel cultural, siendo los jóvenes los que más fluctuaron. La categoría ocupacional de operarios es la más afectada. El déficit de recursos humanos por esta causa afecta el cumplimiento de programas de salud, ejemplo: el de enfermedades transmisibles. El mayor éxodo ocurrió en el segundo trimestre del segundo semestre del año, en la unidad policlínico y la causal fue problemas del trabajador en el centro de trabajo por la inconformidad con el salario, factor importante en el estímulo al trabajador. Por lo que se concluye que el éxodo de los trabajadores estuvo dado por la inconformidad con el salario y la falta de estímulo y cómo este fenómeno puede deprimir los indicadores de la calidad de la Atención Primaria de Salud. Se recomienda reforzar el trabajo político ideológico con los trabajadores y se realicen futuros estudios al salario

It was conducted a descriptive and transversal study to the universe of 25 workers, who resigned their posts in the second half of 2011, in the Public Health budgeted unit of San Nicolas municipality, with the aim of determining how the functioning of Primary Health Care is made manifest regarding the exodus of personnel as well as the main causes of it at the entity. Exodus manifests differently depending on age, educational level, being the young people the ones that most fluctuated. The operator occupational category is the most affected. The shortage of human resources for this cause affects the fulfillment of health programs, e.g. Communicable Diseases. The largest exodus occurred in the second quarter of the second half of the year, at the polyclinic unit and the cause was problems of workers in the workplace due to dissatisfaction with salary, important factor in stimulating the worker. It is concluded that the exodus of workers was given by the dissatisfaction with wages and lack of stimulus, and how this phenomenon can depress the quality indicators of the Primary Health Care. It is recommended to strengthening the ideological political work with workers and that future studies are made to salary
