ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To provide reference of the ideal entry point for antegrade femoral nailing according to analysis correlation between highest point of greater trochanter and the middle line of the medullary cavity in adults by three-dimensional images.@*METHODS@#From January 2016 to January 2017, 107 adults who underwent continuous computed tomography (CT) scans were ultimately enrolled, including 64 males and 43 females with an average age of (51.7±16.4) years old;54 patients on the left side and 53 patients on the right side. Three-dimensional images were built by using image-processing software (Volume Viewer) to reconstruct geometry of cortex and medullary canal. All people weregrouped according to different femoral greater trochanter morphology, such as anterior apex (AA), posterior apex (PA), middle apex (MA) and none apex (NA). Forwards inclination was adjusted to apparent neck shaft angle (ANSA) and true neck shaft angle (TNSA) on the coronal and saggittal view, recorded as C-ANSA, C-TNSA, S-ANSA, S-TNSA respectively, vertical distance from the middle line of femur medullary cavity to the highest point of greater trochanter of femur on the 4 positions were measured and performed statistical analysis, multiple linear regression was applied to analysis relationship between clinical data and VD value.@*RESULTS@#(1)Comparison of VD value among 4 groups on the 4 positions, there were no difference in VD value between AA and MA groups on the S-ANSA position;and no differences in VD value among AA, MA and NA groups on the C-ANSA and C-TNSA position. (2)There were differences in VD value among AA, MA and NA groups on the sagittal plane;while had difference in VD value between PA and NA group on the coronal plane. (3)Prediction equation of VD value on S-ANSA and S-TNSA position by multiple linear regression showed R=0.343, F=3.409, =0.012 on the S-ANSA position;R=0.317, F=2.846, =0.028 on the S-TNSA position; neck shaft angle and sex were risk factors of VD value on the sagittal plane, while no difference in VD value on the coronal position.@*CONCLUSION@#(1)When indentify insertion point in adult femoral nail according to the highest point of greater trochanter as anatomic landmark, the morphology of greater trochanter of femur should be distinguished to certain observation position, then evaluate migration before and after on the sagttial plane and lateral offset on the coronal plane. (2)Migration before and after on the sagttial plane is increase with increase of neck shaft angle, and the degree of migration of female before and after is less than that of male.

ABSTRACT

A water-soluble fluorescent probe (7-diethyl amino-3-formaldehyde coumarin) for Fe3+ detection was designed and synthesiZed, and its structure was confirmed by 1 HNMR, 13 CNMR and MS spectra. This probe showed high emission intensity at 471 nm.With the continuous addition of Fe3+, the emission intensities at 471 nm decreased gradually, and showed an excellent linearity with Fe3+in the range of 0.02-60 μmol/L, and the regression equation was I=322.56-4.86CFe3+.This probe was able to detect Fe3+ qualitatively and quantitatively with the detection limit as low as 22 nmol/L.Besides, this probe showed high sensitivity to Fe3+over other metal ions. The detection process was reversible, which could be recycled for the Fe3+detection.In terms of good optical properties and the strong fluorescence in physiological pH, the probe was successfully applied in imaging Fe3+ of living Ramos cells.

ABSTRACT

To systemically evaluate the safety and efficacy of Xiyanping injection combined with azithromycin in the treatment of mycoplasmal pneumonia in children. PubMed, Wanfang Data, CNKI, VIP and CBM were used to search for the clinical randomized controlled trials on Xiyanping injection combined with azithromycin in the treatment of mycoplasmal pneumonia in children from database establishment to July, 2017. The papers were screened according to the established inclusion and exclusion criteria, and then the quality of the included studies was evaluated to extract valid data for Meta-analysis by using Revman 5.3 software. A total of 31 clinical randomized controlled trials were included, involving 2 881 patients. Meta-analysis showed that as compared with azithromycin alone, the combination of azithromycin with azithromycin had obvious advantages in the total effective rate(OR=5.42,95%CI[3.98,7.38],<0.000 01), fever clearance time(MD=-1.29,95%CI[-1.51,-1.08],<0.000 01), cough disappearance time (MD=-1.72,95%CI[-1.99,-1.46],<0.000 01), lung wet rales disappearance time(MD=-1.51,95%CI[-1.88,-1.14],<0.000 01), chest X-ray recovery time(MD=-2.72,95%CI[-3.82,-1.63],<0.000 01), shortening the hospital stay(MD=-1.88,95%CI[-2.26,-1.50],<0.000 01), reducing the incidence of adverse reactions(MD=0.51,95%CI[0.33,0.79],=0.002), and other aspects, with statistically significant difference. Based on the existing evidences, Xiyanping injection combined with azithromycin in the treatment of mycoplasmal pneumonia in children can significantly improve the overall clinical efficiency, shorten the hospital stay and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions. However, the clinical trials of existing small randomized controlled trials have low quality of methodology and require a large sample of high quality clinical trials for further validation.

ABSTRACT

Abstract: Winer's dilated pore is an infrequent appendageal tumor characterized by a giant comedone on the face, neck, and upper trunk in adults. We report a 57-year-old woman who developed multiple asymptomatic black papules on both labia majora. Histopathology showed grouped dilated follicles lined by keratinizing squamous epithelium in the superficial dermis. The superficial lining epithelium and interfollicular epidermis were atrophic, while the deep epithelium showed mild proliferation and melanin pigmentation with a few short projections extending into the surrounding dermis. We diagnosed multiple Winer's dilated pores based on late-onset lesions and pathological features. This patient may represent the first case of multiple vulvar Winer's dilated pores. We suggest that electrocautery may be effective for treating this type of superficial entity.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo explore clinical significance of rotational axis of distal femur on Chinese adults in total knee arthroplasty (TKA).

METHODSThere were 86 Chinese adults (106 normal knees) including 47 males (53 knees) and 39 females (53 knees), 54 knees were on left and 52 on right. The CT scan was employed in the distal femur. The scan direction was aligned to be on the plane perpendicular to the mechanical axis of the femoral. The CT images of cross sections across lateral and medial femoral epicondyle were moved to personal computer, lateral angle between anterior posterior line (APL) and surgical transepicondylar axis (STEA) (ATA),lateral angle between posterior condylar line (PCL) and APL (APA), angle between perpendicularity of APL and PCL (A-PA), posterior condylar angle (PCA), condylar twist angle (CTA), angle between clinical transepicondylar axis (CTEA) and STEA (CSA) were measured. These values were divided into different groups according to gender and side, the values of CTA, PCA, A-PA, angle PT (varus of tibia plateau), constant 3, ATA, APA and constant 90° were compared by statistically. A-PA and PCA, and CTA were analysed statistically with the liner regression, the relationship among CTEA, STEA ,PCL, APL and PLP were performed to assess by liner regression.

RESULTSATA was (89.79 ± 1.22)°, APA was (84.84 ± 1.83)°, A-PA was (5.16 ± 1.83)°, PCA was (4.80 ± 1.23)°, CTA was (8.23 ± 1.40), CSA was (3.45 ± 0.68)°. All the parameters had no differences on sex and side, but CSA had difference on male and female. There was no difference among angle PT, PCA, A-PA. There was significant difference in CAT, constant 30 and angle PT, PCA,A-PA. There was no difference between ATA and constant 90°, but there was difference between APA and constant 90°. There was relativity between PCA and CTA, and also PCA and A-PA, CTA and A-PA. There was significant relativity between STEA and CTEA, between STEA and APL, between STEA and PCL, and also between APLP, APL and PCL, but there was no significant relativity between PCL and CTEA.

CONCLUSIONTKA for Chinese, the section of femoral posterior condyle should be external 5° to obtain the optimum rotational orientation. The property is different entirely between STEA and CTEA, the rotational alignment is not performed according to parallel to the CTEA in distal femur. Among STEA, APL, PCL, the STEA is the most reliable mark ofrotational alignment of the distal femur, and the PCL is the less reliable mark.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo study the effects of skin wound induction gel on the glans scabbing rate, class-A wound healing rate, and wound healing time of circumcision for phimosis in pediatric patients.

METHODSWe randomly assigned 48 six to thirteen years old children with phimosis to an experimental group (n = 25) and a control group (n = 23) to be treated by circumcision. After surgery, the patients in the experimental group received application of skin wound induction gel while those in the control group received that of povidone iodine only to the glans and incision. We recorded and compared the glans scabbing rate, class-A wound healing rate, and wound healing time between the two groups of patients.

RESULTSGlans scabbing was observed in 3 cases in the experimental group and 17 cases in the control group (12.0% vs 73.9%, P < 0.01). No statistically significant differences were found in the rate of class-A wound healing between the two groups (100% vs 91.3%, P > 0.05). The wound healing time was significantly shorter in the experimental than in the control group ([10.7 ± 1.7] d vs [11.9 ± 2.1] d, P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONPost-circumcision application of skin wound induction gel to the glans and incision can effectively reduce glans secreta, alleviate inflammatory reaction, and shorten the healing time in the treatment of phimosis in children.

ABSTRACT

In this study, we measured the composition and free radical scavenging activity of several species of nuts, namely,Torreya grandis, Carya cathayensis, and Myrica rubra. The nut kernels of the aforementioned species are rich in fatty acids, particularly in unsaturated fatty acids, and have 51% oil content. T. grandis and C. cathayensis are mostly produced in ZheJiang province. The trace elements in the kernels of T. grandis and C. cathayensis were generally higher than those in M. rubra, except for Fe with a value of 64.41 mg/Kg. T. grandis is rich in selenium [52.91?68.71 mg/Kg]. All three kernel oils have a certain free radical scavenging capacity, with the highest value in M. rubra. In the DPPH assay, the IC50 of M. rubra kernel oil was 60 Micro g/mL, and OH was 100 Micro g/mL. The results of this study provide basic data for the future development of the edible nut resources in ZheJiang province
