ABSTRACT

Se efectuó un estudio descriptivo y transversal de 40 pacientes con VIH pertenecientes al Policlínico Docente Frank País García de Santiago de Cuba, con vistas a identificar las reacciones adversas a medicamentos antirretrovirales durante el primer semestre de 2018. En la casuística, la mayoría de las notificaciones las realizaron los especialistas en Medicina General Integral (61,4 por ciento), seguidos por los de Medicina Interna y los licenciados en Enfermería (8,8 y 17,6 por ciento, respectivamente); asimismo, entre los efectos adversos predominantes figuraron las náuseas, la cefalea y los mareos, fundamentalmente con los esquemas terapéuticos constituidos por lamivudina-zidovudina-nevirapina y zidovudina-nevirapina-efavirenz. Se concluye que durante el tratamiento antirretroviral la mayoría de dichas reacciones fueron clasificadas como definitivas, independientemente del esquema terapéutico prescrito y las enfermedades concomitantes.


A descriptive and cross sectional study of 40 patients with HIV belonging to the Teaching Polyclinic Frank País García in Santiago de Cuba was carried out with the aim of identifying the adverse reactions to antirretroviral drugs during the first semester of 2018. Most of the notifications were carried out by specialists in Comprehensive General Medicine (61,4 percent) in the case material, followed by those of Internal Medicine and Licentiate in Nursing (8,8 and 17,6 percent, respectively); also, among the predominant adverse effects there were nauseas, migraine and sickness, fundamentally with the therapeutic schemes constituted by lamivudina-zidovudina-nevirapina and zidovudina-nevirapina-efavirenz. It is concluded that during antirretroviral treatment most of these reactions were classified as definitive, independently of the prescribed therapeutic scheme and the concomitant diseases.

ABSTRACT

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y transversal de 56 pacientes con diabetes mellitus, a quienes se le diagnosticó pie diabético, pertenecientes al área de salud del Policlínico Universitario Josué País García de Santiago de Cuba, desde enero hasta diciembre del 2016, a fin de determinar el costo-beneficio del tratamiento con Heberprot-P®. La aplicación de dicho tratamiento resultó beneficiosa, pues se logró la curación de todos los pacientes. Se concluyó que, a pesar del costo elevado que representa la aplicación del novedoso tratamiento, constituyó un beneficio significativo para los afectados, puesto que se evitó la aplicación de técnicas quirúrgicas costosas y las amputaciones; además, favoreció una mejor calidad de vida, se extendió la vida socialmente útil, disminuyeron los problemas desde el punto de vista social y una alta erogación de gastos en asistencia social


A descriptive and cross-sectional study of 56 patients with diabetes mellitus to whom diabetic foot was diagnosed, belonging to the health area of Josué País García University Polyclinic in Santiago de Cuba was carried out from January to December, 2016, in order to determine the cost-benefit of the treatment with Heberprot-P®. This treatment was beneficial, because the cure of all patients was achieved. It is concluded that, in spite of the high cost that represents the administration of the novel treatment, it constituted a significant benefit for those affected, since the use of expensive surgical techniques and the amputations were avoided; also, it favored a better life quality, the socially useful life was expanded, the problems decreased from the social point of view as well as the high expenditure of expenses in social care

Se efectuó un estudio de observación participante en 25 adultos mayores, quienes integraron el "Triángulo de la solidaridad, amor y salud", asociación independiente radicada en el Consejo Popular de Chicharrones, área de salud Municipal de Santiago de Cuba, a fin de contribuir al mejoramiento de la calidad de vida de estos ancianos, durante el 2014. Entre las técnicas y procedimientos empleados figuraron: observación y dinámica de grupo, las cuales integraron el programa desarrollado mensualmente. En la serie predominaron las féminas (96,0 %). Teniendo en cuenta que 54,1 % no pertenecían a grupos de adulto mayor, surgió la idea humanitaria e unipersonal de crear esta asociación y realizar actividades socioculturales en su entorno habitual para así fomentar su calidad de vida.


A participant observation study was made in 25 elderly who integrated the "Triangle of the solidarity, love and health", independent association from Chicharrones People´s Council, Municipal health area in Santiago de Cuba, in order to contribute to the improvement of these elderly life quality, during 2014. Among the techniques and used procedures there were: observation and group dynamics, which integrated the program developed monthly. In the series the female sex prevailed (96.0%). Taking into account that 54.1% didn't belong to elderly groups, the humanitarian and unipersonal idea arose to create this association and to carry out sociocultural activities in their usual environment in order to promote their life quality.
