ABSTRACT

Objective:To systematically review the efficacy and safety of dexmedetomidine and midazolam in procedural sedation. Methods: PubMed,EMBase,Cochrane Library,CNKI,CBM and WanFang databases were retrieved to collect the randomized controlled trials (RCT) about comparion of efficacy and safety between dexmedetomidine and midazolam in procedural sedation up to March, 2017. Based on the inclusion criteria, the data extraction and quality evaluation were performed, and then the systematic evaluation was carried out.The outcome measures for efficacy were the satisfaction scores and pain scores of the patients and clinicians;the outcome measures for safety comparison were hypotension, hypoxia, and circulatory and respiratory complications.Results:There were 14 RCT satisfied the inclusion criteria including 949 patients.Compared with midazolam group, the incidence of pain, delirium, and analgesia of the patients in dexmedetomidine group had significant differences (P0.05).Conclusion:When the adult patients are sedated, dexmedetomidine can be used as an ideal alternative to midazolam sedation.

ABSTRACT

Objective To learn the applications and patient experience of mobile payment technology as used in the hospital outpatient service.Methods 342 outpatients using mobile technology (APP)were chosen from the hospital information system for survey,and 300 outpatients registering in the conventional process were chosen as a control.Data of the doctor-seeing experiences of the two groups were analyzed statistically.Results Waiting queue reminder function is found with the highest patient usage among the three officially launched APPs,accounting for 83.6%.The appointment and cellphone payment functions exert the greatest impact on patient experience,boasting a patient satisfaction of 90%. All these functions can save totally one hour for an outpatient.Conclusions The mobile payment technology can significantly reduce outpatient waiting time,and improve outpatient experiences.Such technology therefore needs more promotions and connection with medical insurance system for the sake of outpatients.

ABSTRACT

Outpatient service constitutes a key part of hospital services.In an effort to optimize services plagued by the too long waiting time in registration,payment and drug dispensary,and the too short time in seeing doctors,Beijing Friendship Hospital introduced mobile Intemet technology into hospital outpatient services.Such measures as mobile payment,and realtime push of the information of patients waiting were adopted to help with outpatients waiting at home,minimize outpatients' movement,queuing and waiting.Simplified service process and higher service efficiency proved effective in winning higher outpatient satisfaction as a result.

ABSTRACT

The paper introduced the attempts made by the hospital in the ongoing health reform.The hospital encouraged incentives of the medical workers to take part in the reform,as they upgrade their work in high quality nursing care,outpatient appointment registration,better specialist outpatient clinic service,and tiered medical services.These efforts help innovate medical services for fulfillment of goals of the health reform.
