ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the protective mechanism of ischemic preconditioning for myocardial ischemic reperfusion injury (MI/RI) rats. Methods Eighteen male Sprague–Dawley (SD) rats were randomly separated into Sham operation, ischemic reperfusion (IR) and ischemic preconditioning (IP) groups (6 rats in each group). Peripheral blood and cardiac muscle were collected after the establishment of the above 3 animal models. ELISA was employed to determine proinflammatory cytokines TNF-? and IL-1? production in sera of these animals. RT-PCR and Western blot analysis was used to assay the transcriptional level and protein level of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) in cardiac muscle tissue with pathological change, respectively. Results Compared with IR group, ischemic preconditioning effectively decreased the expression levels of TNF-? and IL-1? in sera of rats in IP group (P

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the analgesic efficacy and safety of tramadol im.on pain after thoracic surgery.MET_ HODS:34cases after thoracic surgery were given tramadol im.in a dose of1.5mg/kg.The analgesic effect and adverse effect were observed.RESULTS:The significant effective rate of pain relief was41.2%and effective rate was38.2%with a total effective rate of79.4%.Some adverse effects including temporary nausea, vomiting, perspiration, dysuria were observed in a part of the patients. No respiratory inhibition was found.CONCLUSION:Tramadol(1.5mg/kg)im.is safe and effective in treatment of the pain after thoracic surgery.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of urapidil on the hemodynamics of the right heart in patients with rheumatic heart disease and secondary pulmonary hypertension METHODS:34 patients with rheumatic heart disease and varying degrees of secondary pulmonary hypertension were included in the study In all patients, the hemodynamic parameters and pressure of systemic circulation were determined before and 20,40,60 min after urapidil intraverous injection in a dose of 0 4mg/kg RESULTS:Pulmonary artery pressure, pulmonary vascular resistance, pulmonary capillary wedge pressure and systemic artery pressure were decreased after urapidil injection The reduction of resistance in the pulmonary vascular bed was greater than that in the systemic circulation There were no significant alterations in heart rate and cardic output No serious side-effects were observed in the study CONCLUSION:Urapidil may be a promising drug in the treatment of patients with pulmonary hypertension due to rheumatic heart disease

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the protective effects of polarizing cardioplegia with Na+ channel inhibitor tetrodotoxin (TTX) on isolated rat hearts. Methods:While Langendorff and Neely perfusion model were steadily established, the rat hearts(10 hearts in each group)were respectively arrested by depolarizing cardioplegia (St.Thomas No.2 solution ,STH-2)in Group Ⅰ(control group),and by polarizing cardioplegia(TTX)in GroupⅡ.These arrested hearts were preserved in corresponding cardioplegia solution respectively at 7℃ for 5 hours and then underwent 30 minute reperfusion.Pre-ischemia and post-ischemia indexes of the rat hearts were studied, including hemodynamic parameters, myocardial enzymology,ATP content, and ultrastructural changes. Results:There were no differences between two groups before myocardial ischemia. But the recovery of myocardial hemodynamic parameters during reperfusoin in GroupⅡwas better than that in GroupⅠ(P
