ABSTRACT

The task of breast cancer screening for women in China is mainly completed by Maternal and Child Health Care Hospitals, Community Health Service Centers and Township Health Centers. The number of clinical and imaging diagnosis professionals in these units is smaller and they are inexperienced, which will influence the effect of breast cancer screening. Studies both at home and abroad have proved that artificial intelligence technology can improve the accuracy and efficiency of the breast X-ray examination and breast ultrasound. As a result, in our country, using artificial intelligence technology in breast cancer screening work will be an important measure to improve the effect of breast cancer screening.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To investigate the current status of smoking and passive smoking among Chinese females to provide evidence for related strategy development.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Data from 32 720 women aged 45-65 years old who participated in the 2008 to 2010 Chinese Multi-center Women Breast Cancer Screening Project, were used to analyze the prevalence rates of smoking/heavy smoking, daily smoking, smoking cessation, successful smoking cessation, passive smoking, etc.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>A total of 913 females, accounted for 2.8% of all the women in the study, had reported the history of smoking. There were significant differences seen regarding the prevalence rates of smoking in different regions (Beijing, 2.8%; Tianjin, 5.9%; Nanchang, 1.7%; Feicheng, 0.9%; Shenyang, 1.8%). The prevalence rates of current smoking, daily smoking, and heavy smoking were 1.8%, 1.0% and 0.2%, respectively. The prevalence rates of smoking and current smoking increased with age but not the prevalence rates of daily smoking and heavy smoking. Among the smokers, the median initiation age of smoking, the median daily cigarette per day, and median year of smoking were 30 years old, 10 cigarette, and 16 years, respectively. And the prevalence rates of smoking cessation and successful smoking cessation were 19.1% and 8.2%. The prevalence rate of passive smoking was 45.7% (12 730/27 874). After combing the number of smokers and the number of passive smokers, the total exposure rate to tobacco was 41.8% (13 670/32 720).</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>There was a relatively low level of smoking among Chinese females, so as the rate of smoking cessation. However, passive smoking presented a relatively high level among Chinese females.</p>

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the pathogenic bacteria species of the patients with lactation acute mammitis and their sensitivities to antibiotics in order to provide a guideline in choosing antibiotics reasonably. Methods Four hundred and thirty-three samples from diseased breast(include milk, puncture fluid and secretion in ulcerateing skin)from 310 patients with lactation acute mammitis, who were treated by the center of mammary gland of Maternal and Child Health Care of Haidian district in BeiJing from Jan. to Aug. in 2012. Statistics analysis was made to analysis the pathogenic bacteria species and the characteristics of drug sensitivity. Results (1)Of the 433 samples,407 strains of pathogens were picked out, which consisted of 215 strains of Staphylococcus aureus(SAU),43 strains of methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus( MRSA),43 strains of coagulase negative staphylococcus(CNS),42 strains of Methicillin-resistant staphylococcus epidermis (MRSE),22 strains of Staphylococcus epidermidis(SE),12 strains of Methicillin-resistant coagulase negative staphylococci(MRScon)and 8 strains of Alpha hemolytic streptococcus.(2)There were 237 strains of G +bacteria, and the drug sensitive test showed that they were all sensitive to vancomycin(100% ),91. 8% were sensitive to penicillin,57. 0% to clindamycin( CLDM))and 69. 0% to erythrocin. Meanwhile,94. 0% were sensitive to levofloxacin,70. 0% to cephalosporins, and 80. 0% to gentamicin. In addition, there were 43 MRSA, and drug sensitivity test showed that 95. 0% were sensitive to levofloxacin,96. 0% to gentamicin,97. 0% to macrodantin, and 92. 0% to cotrimoxazole. Meanwhile,it's drug resistance rate to erythrocin was 13. 0% and 15. 0% to clindamycin( CLDM). MRSA was completely resistant to Lactam antibiotics( 100% ) such as penicillin and Cephalosporins,95. 0% to levofloxacin,96. 0% to gentamicin,97. 0% to furadantin and 92. 0% to bactrim. Conclusion The predominant pathogenic bacteria of lactation acute mammitis include SAU,MRSA, MRSA,CNS,MRSE,SE and they are all the G + bacteria. They are showed with a high rate of drug resistance, especially for the sensitive drugs which had been proved in the past. Due attention should be paid to germiculture from diseased breast and drug sensitive test as soon as possible, and to provide a guideline in choosing antibiotics reasonably.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the effect of abnormal left ventricular diastolic function(LVDF)on the onset and severity of atrial or ventricular arrhythmia in elderly essential hypertensive patients. Methods The 210 elderly essential hypertensive patients were enrolled in this study. Their arrhythmias were monitored by 24-hour ambulatory electrocardiogram. The essential hypertensive patients were referred for Doppler echocardiography to evaluate left ventricular function, while patients with abnormal systolic function were excluded, and then the patients were classified as normal LVDF and abnormal LVDF including, impaired relaxation, pseudonormal, and restrictivelike filling patterns. Results In 210 elderly essential hypertensive patients, 147 (70%) cases were diagnosed as atrial arrhythmia and 102 (49%) cases as ventricular arrhythmia (χ2 = 19. 975, P < 0.05 ).Morbidities of atrial (89%) or complex atrial arrhythmia (49%) as well as ventricular (63%) orcomplex ventricular arrhythmia (30%) were significantly higher in abnormal LVDN group than in normal LVDN group (40%, 13%, 26% and 7%, χ2 = 56. 723 、 28. 359 、 28. 076、15. 9102 , all P<0. 05). The morbidities of arrhythmias were higher in hypertensive patients with pseudonormal and restrictiveike filling patterns than in other groups 93.6% and 96. 4%. Conclusions Abnormal left ventricular diastolic function affects on the onset and severity of atrial or ventricular arrhythmia in elderly essential hypertensive patients, and complex atrial or ventricular arrhythmia is easier found in hypertensive patients with pseudonormal and restrictivelike filling patterns.

ABSTRACT

7 cm in diameter)of the breast were treated in our hospital by lumpectomy via a periareolar incision. The length of the incision was less than half of the perimeter of the areola. For multiple fibroadenomas, circumareolar incision(not longer than half of the nipple-areolar perimeter)was made in different quadrants according to the position of the main tumor,so that the multiple benign tumors could be integrally removed through the approach between the hypodermic fat and glands via radial incisions.Similarly, giant benign tumors were treated through the same approach, cut into pieces, and then removed. Results Totally 165 tumors were removed from the 46 patients with multiple fibroadenomas. In the resected masses,19 were from one patient, who had bilateral multiple breast tumors. The 2 patients with giant breast fibroadenoma were also cured by lumpectomy, the diameter of the largest tumor in the two was 8 cm,while the circumareolar incisions were shorter than 3.5 cm.No nipple necrosis occurred after the operation in our series.Follow-up was achieved in all of the patients for 1 month to 2 years(mean,14.4 months),during which,11 cases showed no incision scar,26 had non-notable scars,9 cases developed observable incision scars, and 2 cases had apparent scars owing to their susceptibility to scar. Conclusions Lumpectomy via minor circumareolar incision is convenient and effective for multiple or giant benign fibroadenoma of the breast with good cosmetic outcomes.
