ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the role of comprehensive first aid skills training in improving medical students' comprehensive first aid ability.Methods:Eighty-seven medical students were enrolled in this study, and received the training of comprehensive first aid skills developed by the emergency medicine teaching and research section of our hospital. The scores of individual first aid ability, emergency handling ability, team cooperation ability, organization and coordination ability and communication ability before and after the training were analyzed. At the same time, a questionnaire survey was conducted among students to understand their evaluation and recognition of the training. SPSS 10.0 was used for t test. Results:After the training, the total score of comprehensive first aid ability was increased significantly [(73.55±3.89) vs. (63.53±3.06)], and the scores of emergency handling ability [(10.11±1.43) vs. (8.01±1.16)], team cooperation ability [(11.38±1.21) vs. (8.15±0.99)], organization and coordination ability [(10.68±1.17) vs. (8.15±0.99)] and communication ability [(9.64±1.31) vs. (7.55±1.08)] were also significantly increased ( P<0.05). However, there was no significant difference in the scores of individual first aid ability mastery before and after training. In all, 80.46%-96.55% of the students think that the training of comprehensive first aid skills is conducive to the improvement of their comprehensive first aid ability, and all of the students are willing to use this training in the future. Conclusion:Comprehensive first aid skill training is beneficial to improve medical students' comprehensive first aid ability.

ABSTRACT

Objective ToexploretheapplicationofVasoCT,astentimagingtechnique,instent-assisted coilaneurysmembolization. Methods Twentyconsecutivepatientswith23intracranialaneurysmswere treated with stent-assisted aneurysm embolization in the General Hospital of Armed Police Forces from December 2013 to November 2014 were enrolled. The patients performed VasoCT scan immediately after procedure. Then all the available images were used for stent-optimized reconstruction respectively. Under the XpertCT mode, the available images were observed with both volume imaging and maximum intensity projection. The available images were analyzed and they were divided into very clear, less clear, and not clearaccordingtothestentdevelopingclarity. Results Ofthe22aneurysmstreatedwithstent-assisted embolization,16 were occluded completely,6 were occluded partially. All the stents were expanded completely and were released to the expected locations;11 aneurysm stents developed clearly,9 developed less clearly, and 2didnotdevelopclearly.Conclusion VasoCTcanbeusedinthestent-assistedaneurysmembolization.It can clearly reveal the microscopic structure of the stents, location, relationship with the artery wall, and relationship between stents and coils. The clarity of stent development is associated with the diameters of the packed coils, and the stents are also affected by the metal artifacts projecting direction and the dense degree of the packing coils.

ABSTRACT

@#Objective To summarize the technique of stent combined with coils to treat middle cerebral artery bifurcation wide-necked aneurysms. Methods 15 patients were reported. Results 11 of 15 aneurysms were completely occluded and 4 were incompletely (>95%) occluded. Transient ischemia of cerebral occurred in a case. 8 aneurysms were followed up for 6~12 months, 1 presented neck remnant growth. Conclusion It is satisfied to use the stent combined with coils to treat middle cerebral artery bifurcation wide-necked aneurysm, which may protect the parent artery.

ABSTRACT

@# ObjectiveTo summarize the technique and preliminary outcome of Neuroform stent combined with Guglielmi detachable coil (GDC) to treat wide-necked intracranial aneurysms. Methods32 cases with aneurysms which underwent 32 endovascular procedures performed by using stent were retrospectively analyzed. The ratio of aneurysm neck/body is 1/2~1/1. Results24 aneurysms were completely occluded and other 8 were incompletely (>95%) occluded. Transient ischemia of cerebral occured in 2 cases. 14 aneurysms were followed up 0.5~1 year after. 2 aneurysms of them appeared neck remnant growth.ConclusionUsing Neuroform stent combined with GDC to treat wide-necked intracranial aneurysm may prevent the herniation of GDC into the artery and increase the outcome of wide-necked intacranial aneurysm.

ABSTRACT

Objective Vertebral benign and malignant tumors were intractable in the treatment. Previous treatment methods had their own deficiency. The introduction of percutaneous vertebroplasty brought a breakthrough in the treatment. The initial experience of the treatment of vertebral malignant and benign tumors with percutaneous vertebraplasty was analyzed in this clinical research. Methods and materials The treatment of seven cases of vertebral hemangiomas and 11 cases of vertebral malignant tumors were reported. Unipedicular or bipedicular approaches were used in 17 cases, and in one case of cervical hemangioma, the cervical anterior-lateral approach was adopted. 15-20% of bone cement was mixed and injected into the vertebral lesions and made to distribute and cast in the lesions. Results Good results were got in all the 18 cases. After 0.5-7ml of cement was injected into the lesions. The complete relief was got in 10 cases and sub-complete relief was achieved in 6 cases and medial relief was got in two cases. One to nine months of postoperative follow-ups found no recurrences. Conclusions The treatment of vertebral benign and malignant tumors with percutaneous vertebraplasty was mini-invasive, safe, and effective.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE To make clear the germicidal efficacy of a large-sized pressure-stream disinfector for(bedclothes) used in the hospital.METHODS The carrier-ration sterilization experiment and local disinfection(experiment) were used to test the germicidal efficacy of pressure-stream disinfector for microorganism being on the contaminated bedclothes.RESULTS Operating the disinfector at the 105℃ for 5 minutes, its killing rate of Staphylococcus aureus,Escherichia coli and Candida albicans on bedclothes was 100%,the natural killing rate of(surface) of bedclothes exceeded 99.28%.CONCLUSIONS The pressure-stream disinfection is an excellently(effective),economical and environment protective method,it deserves to be used widely.
