ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effects of microlecture-based flipped classroom in the health assessment course. Methods Nursing students in 2 classes were divided into the control (n=48) and experimental groups (n=48),receiving the traditional teaching mode and microlecture-based flipped classroom teaching mode,respectively.Self-Directed Learning ability, course examination scores, and teaching satisfaction were compared between two groups. Results No significant difference of self-directed learning ability was observed between the two groups before the course(P>0.05),while the level of selfdirected learning ability in experimental group (73.15 ± 6.20) was significantly higher than that of the control group (55.88±7.17,t=-12.629,P=0.000) at the end of the course. The course examination scores of students in the study group (78 ± 11) were significantly higher than those in the control group (69 ± 13),(t=-3.751,P=0.000).Compared with students in the control group, students in the study group acquired significantly higher self-directed learning ability and satisfaction with teaching(P=0.000).Conclusions The application of microlecture-based flipped classroom in the health assessment course dramatically promotes the self-learning ability and teaching effects of nursing students.

ABSTRACT

Objective To compare the cost-effectiveness of non-intubated general anesthesia with conventional general anesthesia for thoracoscopic bulla resection. Methods Sixty patients scheduled for elective thoracoscopic bulla resection, were divided into two groups (30 each) using a random number table: the conventional general anesthesia group (T group) and the non-intubated general anesthesia group (NT group). Patients in group T were induced with conventional general anesthetic, single-lung ventilated after intubation with double-lumen bronchial catheters. Patients in group NT were induced with general anesthesia combined nerve block, and spontaneous breathings were retained. The results of blood gas analysis, anesthesia time, operation time, intraoperative blood loss, time for orientation recovery and modified Aldrete score ≥ 9 minutes were recorded. The intraoperative and postoperative complications, postoperative hospital stay time, VAS and PC A scores 48 h after operation were recorded. Calculate the cost of anesthesia and the total cost of hospitalization. Results Compared with T group, NT group had lower pH value and higher PCO2 at 30 min before and after the thoracic closure, oxygenation index in the NT group increased at 30 min after the thoracic closure (P < 0.05). Compared with T group, anesthesia time, time for orientation recovery and modified Aldrete score ≥ 9 minutes, incidence of postoperative sore throat, postoperative hospital stay time, VAS scores at 6, 12 h and PC A at 48 h after the operation, anesthesia costs, and total hospitalization costs in the NT group were all reduced (P < 0.05). Conclusions Fully considering the safety, compared with the traditional tracheal intubation general anesthesia, non-intubation general anesthesia can not only promote postoperative outcomes but also improve the cost-effectiveness in the patients undergoing thoracoscopic bulla resection.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate clinical significance of soluble CD30/CD30L and CD40/CD40L system imbalance in ovarian serous tumors. Methods 40 patients of serous cystadenoma and 30 patients of serous cystadenocarcinoma were selected, and 40 age-and weight-matched healthy women were also recruited as the control group.Peripheral venous blood (3 ml) of the healthy control and patients with ovarian serous tumors before surgery and 7 days after surgery were collected. After separation of serum,ELISA was used to detect levels of sCD30,sCD30L,sCD40 and sCD40L.Results Compared to the control group, levels of sCD30,sCD30L,sCD40 and sCD40L in both serous cystadenoma and serous cystadenocarcinoma groups were significantly in creased (P<0.05).And in those serous cystadenocarcinoma group, levels of such soluble proteins were much higher than in serous cystadenoma group (P<0.05).7 days after surgery, levels of such soluble proteins were significantly decreased in both serous cystadenoma and serous cystadenocarcinoma groups (P<0.05).Conclusion Detection of serum sCD30/sCD30L and sCD40/sCD40L is possible to have a certain guiding significance to early diagnosis of ovarian tumors and the prognosis of patients.

ABSTRACT

Objective To assess the anti-inflammatory and analgesic efects of Qinghouxiaoyan granules. Methods The rats were divided into blank group , Qinghouxiaoyan granules of high , medium , or low dose group, and aspirin group. Xylol-induced auricle swelling, carrageenan-induced paw swelling, Hac-induced blood capillary lealkage , and cotton pellet-induced graunloma were performed to assess the inflammatory effect; heat-plate test and Hac induced-twisting method were used to observe the analgesic efect. Results Qinghouxiaoyan granules played significant inhibitory action on xylene-induced inflammation , carrageenan-induced inflammation , and cotton-ball-induce granulation edema in different degrees; and decreased HAc-induced abdominal capillary permeability. The granules also showed significant analgesic effects on pain induced by heat and chemical stimu-lation in rats. Conclusion Qinghouxiaoyan granules has significant anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.
